Troubleshooting Channel 242 on Your Dish Receiver
Sometimes tuning to channel 242 results in a "Not Subscribed" message or a blank screen even if you pay for a qualifying package. Fixing this issue usually takes just a few moments.
- Refresh Your Receiver: Log into your MyDISH Account or use the MyDISH mobile app to send a remote hit refresh signal to your receiver. You can also unplug the power cord from the back of your Hopper or Wally, wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in to force a guide reload.
- Check Parental Controls: If you share your household with younger viewers, customized viewing restrictions might block access to specific channel ratings. Navigate to your receiver's settings menu to confirm that channel 242 isn't hidden behind a security PIN.
- Verify Guide Filters: Press the Guide button on your remote and check the top of the screen to ensure you aren't accidentally filtering your view by "Subscribed Channels" only, which can occasionally hide channels during billing cycle updates.
