Sofie Dossi Age: Birthday, Biography, And Career Timeline

Sofie Dossi is 25 years old. She was born on June 21, 2001, in Cypress, California. She first gained widespread public attention as a teenager on season eleven of America's Got Talent in 2016, where her extreme flexibility and aerial stunts earned her a golden buzzer from judge Reba McEntire and propelled her to the finals.

Since her breakout television appearance, she has transitioned from a competitive gymnast and novelty act into a mainstream digital creator, multi-platform influencer, and musician. Understanding her timeline requires looking past basic age metrics to see how she built an entertainment brand across YouTube, TikTok, and live touring.

Early Life and Discovery of Contortion

Growing up in Southern California, Dossi didn't start out as a traditional circus performer. She spent her early years heavily involved in competitive gymnastics and dance. These disciplines built the core muscle control and balance required for her later routines.

Her pivot toward contortion happened abruptly when she was 12 years old. After watching an online video showcasing extreme flexibility, she attempted the movements herself and realized she possessed a natural aptitude for the craft. Without formal circus training academies nearby, she taught herself advanced contortion bends and hand-balancing techniques by studying videos and experimenting safely at home. Her mother, Abir, homeschooled her, allowing her flexible schedule to train for hours every day. Her father, Mike, supported her ambitions by designing and building custom props and safety equipment for her acts.

Rise to Fame on America's Got Talent

In 2016, a fifteen-year-old Dossi auditioned for the eleventh season of America's Got Talent. Walking onto the stage in a shimmering costume, she proceeded to bend backward into impossible arches, shoot a bow and arrow using only her feet while balanced in a handstand, and perform high-flying aerial hoop routines.

The judges—including Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel—were stunned by the danger and precision of her acts. Guest judge Reba McEntire hit the golden buzzer, sending Dossi straight through to the live shows. She advanced all the way to the grand finale, cementing her status as one of the most memorable novelty acts of that season. This national television exposure served as the foundational launchpad for her digital career.

Transition to Digital Media and YouTube

Instead of joining a traditional touring circus after the show, Dossi leveraged her television momentum to build an independent media brand. She launched a self-titled YouTube channel where she posts weekly content. Her older brother, Zak Dossi, joined her early on as a video producer and creative collaborator.

Her YouTube content relies on high-energy challenges, extreme flexibility stunts with other internet personalities, and behind-the-scenes vlogs. Over the years, her channel scaled past 9 million subscribers and accumulated billions of views. Her format changes frequently to match platform trends, moving from physical stunts with creators like Logan Paul to lifestyle content and vlogs.

Short-Form Video and TikTok Expansion

As short-form video platforms gained dominance, Dossi expanded her presence to TikTok, where she amassed over 10 million followers. Her clips typically blend trending dance routines with subtle displays of her elite gymnastics background. By inserting casual displays of flexibility into everyday settings—such as stretching effortlessly in a kitchen or doing a split while walking down a hallway—she keeps her unique talent front and center without relying solely on circus apparatuses.

Musical Ventures and Acting

Beyond stunt work and content creation, Dossi branched out into other entertainment sectors:

• Acting: In 2018, she starred in Boss Cheer, a Brat TV web series centered on competitive cheerleading culture.
• Podcasting: In October 2020, she co-hosted the Kiss and Tell podcast alongside actress Kyla Kenedy.
• Music: She transitioned into pop music with the release of her debut single "Bunny" in August 2022, co-writing the track with her brother Zak.

Personal Life and Public Relationships

Because Dossi grew up online, fans often track her personal milestones alongside her professional ones. She dated fellow content creator Dom Brack from 2020 until late 2022. In August 2025, she began a relationship with internet personality Sam Golbach. Despite sharing elements of her personal life through vlogs and social media updates, she maintains a boundary between her private routine and her public stunt performances.
