Preston Blaine Arsement, better known across the internet as PrestonPlayz, was born on May 4, 1994. As of 2026, he is 32 years old. He stands as one of the most recognizable digital creators on the web, having built a multi-channel video empire centered around Minecraft, Roblox, and real-life challenge videos.
Understanding his trajectory requires looking beyond a simple age check. His journey spans over a decade of consistent content creation, massive digital expansion, and strategic business moves managed largely alongside his family.
Early Beginnings and First Channels
Long before dominating the family-friendly gaming landscape, Arsement grew up in Texas with a deep interest in video games. His early exposure to titles like Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Genesis sparked a lifelong hobby. Inspired by early gaming content creators like HuskyStarcraft, he decided to test his own hand at recording and uploading gameplay.
In November 2010, he launched his first major channel, TBNRfrags. The channel focused heavily on fast-paced shooter games, starting with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 before branching into Black Ops and eventually Fortnite.
He didn't stop at shooter games. Recognizing the exploding popularity of sandbox games, he launched the PrestonPlayz channel in July 2012, shifting his focus primarily toward Minecraft. This pivot established the cornerstone of his modern digital footprint.
Evolution of the Content Empire
Throughout the 2010s, Arsement scaled his output by diversifying his channels. Instead of packing everything onto one feed, he split his projects into distinct hubs:
- TBNRfrags: Dedicated initially to tactical shooters and fast-paced gameplay.
- PrestonPlayz: Focused deeply on Minecraft mods, roleplays, and family-friendly survival servers.
- PrestonGamez: Established later to capture additional gaming formats, including heavy coverage of Roblox.
- Preston: His main lifestyle and challenge channel, featuring massive real-world stunts, pranks on family members, and high-production value experiments.
By separating gaming from broader lifestyle vlogs, he captured entirely different demographic segments. His prank video targeting his younger half-brother's Minecraft house crossed 50 million views, proving that his transition into broader challenge content resonated deeply with his core audience. His channel metrics are detailed publicly on resources like Wikipedia's PrestonPlayz entry.
Family Involvement and Business Operations
Unlike many creators who hire corporate management firms early on, Arsement kept his operations close to home. His father, David Arsement, serves as the Chief Operating Officer of his company, while his mother, Jaye, acts as Chief Executive Officer. His siblings—including his younger half-brothers Joshua and Caleb and half-sister Keeley—frequently appeared in his early gaming and challenge videos.
This family-first approach helped insulate him from the chaotic burnout that often plagues independent creators. He also partnered with the prominent talent management company Night Media to scale his brand partnerships, merchandise lines, and digital ecosystem. Business profiles on platforms like Forbes have frequently highlighted his transition from a teenage gamer to a high-earning digital entrepreneur.
Personal Life and Milestones
Arsement married fellow creator Brianna Barnhart, widely known online as BriannaPlayz, in May 2018. The couple resides in Dallas, Texas, where they frequently collaborate on shared content channels and real-life vlogs. Outside of creating videos, Arsement is a practicing Messianic Christian and is known to enjoy recreational paintball.
In October 2026, the couple announced they were expecting their first child, marking a major new chapter in their personal lives.
