Common Mailing Mistakes to Avoid
Sending mail or packages within Kedah is straightforward, but small errors cause frequent delivery failures. Watch out for these pitfalls:
- Mixing up postal zones: Don't confuse Mergong's 05150 code with inner city codes like 05000 or suburban codes like 05400. Double-check your recipient's specific housing taman.
- Incomplete address lines: Always include the specific taman name, street name (such as Jalan Putra or Lebuhraya Sultanah Bahiyah), city, and state alongside the five-digit code.
- Ignoring weight and dimension limits: Standard Pos Malaysia drop-off counters have specific limits for over-the-counter flat rate boxes. For parcels exceeding 30kg, utilize designated freight loading docks.
