From Web Novel to Screen: Key Differences
Readers moving from the written page or the popular Webtoon to the film adaptation will notice immediate structural shifts. Adapting thousands of chapters into a roughly two-hour feature requires heavy condensation.
The movie condenses the early scenarios, focusing intensely on the underground station survival trials and the initial setup of the constellations. Characters who appear much later in serialized chapters are introduced earlier to keep the narrative tight. While web novel purists often debate these pacing choices and omitted subplots, the changes were designed to make a dense, multi-layered progression digestible for casual moviegoers.
