Department Layout and Available Building Materials
Walking into the Marion store reveals a layout split between a massive indoor retail center and an extensive outdoor lumber yard. You'll find everything from rough-framing lumber and drywall to specialized plumbing fixtures and electrical supplies.
- Lumber and Building Materials: Dimensional lumber, pressure-treated wood, siding, roofing materials, and insulation. The outdoor yard allows drive-thru loading for heavy quantities, which saves serious time on large construction jobs.
- Hardware and Tools: Hand tools, power tool brands like Milwaukee and Masterforce, fasteners, safety gear, and jobsite equipment.
- Plumbing and Electrical: PVC pipes, water heaters, vanity sets, lighting fixtures, wiring, breakers, and smart home switches.
- Home Decor and Groceries: Beyond renovation supplies, the store stocks cleaning essentials, pet supplies, rugs, cabinets, and a surprising selection of grocery items.
Special Services Offered in Marion
Beyond standard retail shopping, the Marion branch provides specialized services designed to simplify complex projects. If you're designing a new garage, pole barn, or house layout, their team offers free blueprint and building design estimation services. You bring your dimensions or ideas, and specialists draft structured material lists to ensure you don't overspend or run short mid-project.
You can also utilize online ordering with in-store or curbside pickup. Ordering online avoids inventory guesswork, letting you secure sale items or specific hardware pieces before driving over. Additionally, the store provides propane fueling stations and specialized tool rental options for projects that don't justify buying equipment outright.
Saving Money: Rebates and Delivery
Most regular shoppers know about the iconic eleven percent rebate events. When these promotions run, you receive mail-in rebate certificates worth a percentage of your total purchase price, which you can spend on future store visits. Keeping track of your receipts and mailing them in promptly makes a noticeable dent in the overall cost of a major home renovation.
For heavy purchases like drywall pallets, concrete bags, or large appliances, delivery services are available through the store. Delivery trucks can drop heavy items directly at your jobsite or driveway, sparing your personal vehicle from excessive wear and tear.
