Is TBN on Hulu? The short answer is no. You won't find the Trinity Broadcasting Network included in Hulu's standard on-demand library, nor is it available as part of the channel lineup on Hulu + Live TV. If you're hoping to pull up your favorite faith-based programs using your existing Hulu subscription, you'll need to look elsewhere.
Hulu focuses its live TV add-ons on major news, sports, and lifestyle networks. Because TBN manages its own dedicated distribution ecosystems, viewers looking to stream Christian television must use alternative platforms. Fortunately, getting access to sermons, worship music, and family ministries without a cable box is straightforward once you know where to look.
Why TBN Isn't on Hulu
Streaming platform lineups come down to licensing agreements, corporate partnerships, and distribution costs. Major live TV streaming services curate channel packages that appeal to broad demographic blocks, while independent networks often choose targeted distribution models.
TBN operates its own direct-to-consumer infrastructure. By maintaining proprietary apps and partnering with free ad-supported television services, the network reaches its audience without paying hefty carriage fees to intermediate gatekeepers like Hulu. This keeps their broadcasts widely accessible, often at little to no cost to the viewer. For another look on this story, check out the recent update from Reuters.
Direct Ways to Watch TBN Without Cable
You don't need a traditional cable subscription or a live TV bundle to watch your favorite ministry programs. Several dedicated options provide full access to the network's live feeds and on-demand archives.
- TBN+ App: The official home for the network's digital content. It offers a free tier with ads that includes the live broadcast and a rotating library of teachings. A premium tier removes ads and unlocks offline downloads for mobile devices.
- Web Browsers: You can stream live content directly from your computer by visiting the TBN Official Website without downloading any extra software.
- Smart TV and Streaming Sticks: Dedicated apps are available for Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, and major smart TV brands like Samsung and LG.
Alternative Live TV Services That Carry TBN
If you prefer a comprehensive cable replacement package that bundles local broadcast networks, sports, and news alongside your favorite faith-based channels, other providers include TBN in their line-ups.
- DirecTV Stream: Certain channel tiers include TBN, making it a viable option if you want a traditional multi-channel television grid over an internet connection.
- Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST): Platforms like Sling Freestream, Roku Channel, and Pluto TV frequently host TBN and related faith networks as free linear channels. You can launch these services instantly without entering credit card information or signing up for a monthly contract.
Common Mistakes When Searching for Faith Content on Hulu
Cord-cutters switching to streaming services often run into friction when hunting for niche or religious programming. Avoiding these common missteps will save you time.
- Assuming live TV packages mirror cable: Just because a live streaming package includes dozens of cable networks doesn't mean it covers independent religious broadcasters. Always check the provider's official channel lookup tool before subscribing.
- Confusing on-demand libraries with live add-ons: Hulu's on-demand catalog features occasional faith-based independent films or documentaries, but these come and go based on licensing windows and do not include regular TBN ministry broadcasts.
- Paying for third-party bundles unnecessarily: Some third-party apps claim to offer specialized streaming packages for religious channels. Before paying a monthly fee, check if the network offers its own official app for free.
