If you're searching for how to watch Vice TV on YouTube TV, you'll run into a major roadblock: YouTube TV does not carry Vice TV. While online rumors or outdated videos sometimes claim it's available, the network is absent from YouTube TV's channel lineup and base package.
Streaming services drop or add networks frequently, which causes endless confusion. If you want to watch shows like Dark Side of the Ring or Vice World of Sports without a traditional cable subscription, you have to look at alternative live TV providers or free streaming apps. Let's break down why Vice TV isn't on YouTube TV, which platforms actually carry it, and how you can watch your favorite programs right now.
Why Vice TV Isn't on YouTube TV
YouTube TV builds its channel lineup by negotiating carriage agreements with media conglomerates. Because television contracts expire and costs rise, platforms regularly add or remove networks. Vice TV has never been part of the YouTube TV channel ecosystem.
When people look for Vice TV on YouTube TV, they often confuse it with YouTube's main video platform, where clips, official channel trailers, or user uploads live. YouTube TV is a paid live television service, and its channel guide simply doesn't feature Vice TV. If you open your live guide on YouTube TV and search for the network, you won't find it.
Live TV Streaming Services That Carry Vice TV
Since YouTube TV won't work for this specific network, several other live television streaming services include Vice TV in their channel lineups. These platforms function just like cable, offering cloud DVR and live channel guides, but over an internet connection.
Hulu + Live TV
Hulu's live TV tier includes Vice TV in its standard entertainment channel lineup. Along with dozens of local broadcast networks and sports channels, you get access to Hulu's massive on-demand library bundled into the monthly subscription price.
Sling TV
Sling TV offers Vice TV primarily through specific add-on packages, such as the Comedy Extra or Lifestyle Extra channel packs. This makes Sling one of the most budget-friendly ways to access the network if you choose the right base plan (Sling Blue or Sling Orange) and layer on the appropriate extra bundle.
Frndly TV and Philo
If you don't care about local sports or broadcast networks and just want entertainment and lifestyle channels, Frndly TV and Philo both carry Vice TV at a lower price point than traditional live TV services. These budget-focused streaming options are designed specifically for cord-cutters who miss basic cable networks.
You can compare current pricing and channel availability directly on the Hulu Official Site or check package breakdowns on Sling TV.
Free Alternatives and FAST Channels
If you don't want to pay for a live TV subscription just to catch a few episodes, you have other legal options. Vice Media operates free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels on several popular platforms.
- Tubi: Offers a dedicated Vice-branded channel and various on-demand documentary series without requiring a paid subscription or login.
- The Roku Channel: Features curated Vice content and classic series rotation.
- Samsung TV Plus: Includes the Vice FAST channel natively if you own a compatible Samsung smart TV.
While these free channels don't always broadcast live network premieres at the exact moment they air on cable, they provide access to an extensive archive of past seasons, true crime docs, and investigative specials.
Common Mistakes When Trying to Find Vice TV
Cord-cutters often waste time chasing dead ends because of confusing online guides. Keep these pitfalls in mind:
- Checking YouTube video search instead of the channel guide: Searching for "Vice TV" inside YouTube will bring up individual clips or third-party videos, but it won't give you the live 24/7 network feed.
- Assuming all live TV services are identical: Just because a streaming provider carries hundreds of channels doesn't mean it carries niche cable networks like Vice. Always check the official channel lineup before starting a free trial.
- Overlooking on-demand apps: Many viewers subscribe to a live TV package when older seasons of shows are already available to stream on standalone apps or free platforms.
