Fans of the CBS comedy series Ghosts often find themselves curious about the personal lives of the cast, particularly the man behind the Viking character Thorfinn. Devan Chandler Long has built a recognizable career across television and film, from Doom Patrol to Michael Bay's Ambulance. Away from the screen, his personal life centers around his wife, Jesse Golden, a multi-faceted entrepreneur, author, and former professional model.
Understanding who she is requires looking past sensationalized headlines. Jesse Golden is an established figure in the wellness and holistic health space, with a career spanning decades in dance, modeling, and skin-care formulation. The couple married in 2020 and reside in Venice, California, balancing busy careers in entertainment and wellness with family life.
Who Is Jesse Golden? Background and Career
Before her association with mainstream entertainment circles, Jesse Golden established an independent career. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she grew up immersed in the arts. Her mother owned a local dance studio, which served as Golden's second home. She trained intensively in ballet and earned recognition as a national dance champion during her youth.
At age 17, a trip to Florida led her into the commercial modeling industry. She moved to Miami and began working regularly, eventually appearing as a rotating model on The Price Is Right during its 31st season. Over the years, her modeling footprint expanded to include features in international publications like British GQ and campaigns for major athletic and lifestyle brands.
Transition to Holistic Health and Writing
A major turning point in Golden's life occurred following personal health challenges. At age 25, she became a mother to her first son, Kaleo, navigating single parenthood while working in a demanding industry. The physical and emotional stress of balancing survival mode eventually led to a severe physical setback.
Doctors diagnosed her with rheumatoid arthritis, a condition that halted her active lifestyle and modeling career temporarily. Refusing to accept chronic limitations, she dove deep into allopathic and holistic alternatives. She became a certified Hatha yoga instructor and retrained her body, eventually entering remission.
These experiences inspired her to pivot professionally:
- The Golden Secrets: She founded this sustainable wellness and skincare brand to share natural remedies.
- Author and Educator: She published The Golden Secrets to Optimal Health, chronicling her recovery journey.
- Digital Advocacy: She maintains an active digital presence, using platforms like TikTok and Instagram to share holistic fitness advice, yoga routines, and wellness tips.
