When fans look up the personal life of Ashley Sebera—better known to wrestling audiences as Dana Brooke or Ash by Elegance—they often find themselves curious about her marriage and her behind-the-scenes evolution. Her husband is Ulysses Diaz, a professional boxer and bare-knuckle fighter. Beyond her relationship, Sebera transitioned from a decade-long career in the ring to working as a television producer and manager, reshaping her footprint in modern sports entertainment storytelling.
Who Is Ulysses Diaz?
Ulysses Diaz, often recognized in combat sports circles by his nickname "Monster," is a seasoned Cuban-American boxer and bare-knuckle fighting athlete. Diaz built a reputation for high-impact bouts in organizations like the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). Known for his formidable power and aggressive fighting style, Diaz accumulated a strong record in both boxing and mixed martial arts.
The couple's relationship became public knowledge years before they officially tied the knot. Diaz proposed to Sebera during a dinner outing in July 2021, sharing the milestone with fans across social media platforms. After a multi-year engagement, the pair married on December 7, 2024. Despite the high-profile nature of their respective athletic careers, they maintain a balance between public appearances and their private home life in Florida.
Transitioning From the Ring to Production
Sebera spent nearly ten years performing under the Dana Brooke moniker in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), capturing the 24/7 Championship fifteen times and developing a dedicated following. Following her departure from the company, she joined Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling under the Ash by Elegance persona, where she secured the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
Her career took another strategic pivot when she stepped away from full-time in-ring competition to embrace a backstage role. In late 2024, she announced a shift toward working as a producer and creative manager for the Elegance Brand within TNA. This move allowed her to utilize her long-term industry experience to help shape character arcs, direct segments, and guide newer talent through the nuances of live television production.
- In-Ring Experience: Over a decade of performing in front of live audiences and global television cameras.
- Creative Input: Contributing to character development, scripting, and segment layouts.
- Talent Mentorship: Helping younger performers refine their delivery and camera presence.
The Reality of Modern Wrestling Storytelling
Writing and producing compelling narratives in professional wrestling requires a unique blend of athleticism and dramatic pacing. Producers act as the bridge between creative writing teams and the talent executing the match or segment in the arena. Sebera's background as a gymnast, bodybuilder, and tenured performer gave her a practical understanding of physical pacing and emotional resonance.
Modern storytelling relies heavily on character authenticity and social media integration. Producers must craft angles that translate effectively on traditional cable broadcasts while generating digital engagement. By shifting into this production space, Sebera joined a select group of former performers who leverage their physical background to dictate how modern athletic entertainment is presented to viewers.
