Finding where to watch 61st Street can get confusing because the legal home for the intense legal drama has shifted across platforms. Whether you're hunting down Season 1 or trying to catch up on the final episodes, you can stream the entire series online without getting trapped by outdated network info.
In the United States, you can stream both seasons of 61st Street completely free with ads on The CW and Tubi. If you have a library card, you can also access episodes through Hoopla Digital. While the series originally premiered on AMC, current streaming rights allow viewers to watch the full two-season run across these free ad-supported streaming television platforms.
Free Streaming Platforms
If you don't want to pay for another monthly subscription just to watch Courtney B. Vance navigate the Chicago justice system, you're in luck. Several major platforms carry the series for free.
- The CW App and Website: You can watch episodes on demand via The CW's digital platform without needing a cable login or subscription fee.
- Tubi: Tubi hosts the complete series library for both seasons, supported by occasional commercial breaks.
- Hoopla: If your local public library participates in Hoopla, you can check out and stream episodes using your library card credentials.
Subscription and Digital Purchase Options
For viewers who prefer an ad-free experience or want to own digital copies for offline viewing, alternative channels exist, though availability can shift based on regional licensing.
- Digital Storefronts: Major platforms like Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV frequently offer individual episodes or full-season passes for digital purchase. Buying episodes gives you permanent access to your cloud library regardless of where streaming rights land next.
- Cable On-Demand: Depending on your television provider, on-demand packages through networks that broadcast or syndicate the show may carry active episodes.
International Streaming Availability
If you're watching from outside the United States, distribution rights change drastically by country.
- Canada: Canadian viewers often find AMC-originated content shared across domestic streaming bundles or digital rental platforms.
- United Kingdom and Europe: International versions of platforms like AMC+ or regional specialty channels typically hold the licensing window. Always check a localized aggregator like JustWatch to confirm your country's current provider.
Common Mistakes When Searching for 61st Street
Viewers often waste time running into roadblocks because of how the series was produced and cancelled, then un-cancelled. Avoid these pitfalls:
- Looking only on AMC+: While AMC produced the show and aired its first season, Season 2 and streaming distribution moved elsewhere. Don't assume an AMC subscription guarantees the show is currently in their active library.
- Searching major subscription giants: Many fans search Netflix or Hulu automatically. 61st Street is not currently licensed to major subscription-only platforms like Netflix. Stick to free ad-supported apps or digital purchase stores.
- Ignoring season numbering: Ensure you check both Season 1 and Season 2 separately on platforms like Tubi or The CW, as they are sometimes indexed independently.
